Mulch Installation
Fresh mulch is the single change that makes the biggest visible difference to a property. We prep the beds, edge them clean, and install mulch evenly at the right depth.
What's included
- Bed prep — pulling weeds, light cleanout, defining edges
- Mulch installed evenly at a proper depth
- Care around plants so we don't bury crowns or stems
- Cleanup of overspill from beds, walks, and drives
Who it's best for
- Beds that haven't been mulched in over a year
- Properties prepping to list or show
- Homes that want a fresh, finished look heading into the season
Why this matters
Mulch holds in moisture, suppresses weeds, regulates soil temperature, and protects plant roots. It also gives the whole property a crisp, intentional appearance.
Frequently asked questions
How often should mulch be refreshed?
Most KC metro beds benefit from a fresh top-up once a year, typically in spring. Beds that haven't been mulched in a couple of years may need a deeper refresh.
Do I need a bed cleanout before new mulch?
If the beds have visible weeds, debris, or undefined edges, a cleanout first will make the new mulch look dramatically better and last longer.
What kind of mulch do you install?
Standard hardwood mulch by default. If you have a specific color or product preference, mention it during the estimate and we'll confirm availability.
How deep is the mulch installed?
We aim for an even, appropriate depth — generally around two to three inches — without burying plant crowns or piling against trunks.
